I just wanted to let you know how helpful Guy was this past weekend. Guy worked tirelessly to prepare and deliver an offer on our first house. Guy talked us through our offer all of Saturday, and spend Sunday afternoon and evening negotiating the deal. Although we came very close to winning the house we were unsuccessful, despite Guys efforts. I had the pleasure of working with Ian on the recent sale of a house in Barrie. Ian was the Listing Agent, and I the Selling (Buyer's) Agent. To start with, the MLS Listing information was well and accurately presented, property pictures were professional, realistic, and numerous, and our weekend showing request was promptly accepted. When my clients and I walked into Ian's Listing, it was immediately evident that he had spent time advising his clients on how to - honestly - present the property in its best light. The house was clean, bright, and had a nice balance of neutrality with some personal pictures and mementos tastefully included so one was visiting a real house - not a sterile environment prepared just for buyers (or magazine photo shoots!). When I had questions following our visit to the house, Ian was reachable on his phone, and could answer property-specific questions on the spot. A written offer followed, and while Ian was a tough negotiator, I felt that both of our clients came away feeling they got most of what they wanted - the "win-win" which quality Realtors believe is possible in just about every deal. Even once the deal firmed up, Ian and his team were responsive to email and telephone queries - to the extent of getting measurements from the Sellers via telephone and email for the size of the opening available for a refrigerator in the kitchen. With this deal wrapping up now, I only wish the Realtors that I'll work with in 2015 are as professional, honest, and responsive as Ian. PS: Ian was out of town for a few days at one point, and when I had questions, his team was able to respond quickly and accurately in his stead... amazing!
